..this morning' s breakfast in a cozy hostel. with A pool!! breakfast = bread...of course
my hot wheels
. Absinth shot. mmmmmmm
first time :)
don' t we look like professionals...ahahaha
mojito +mojito + welcome to mendoza + black watch + gin tonic + watermelon rosebud = yum

so now after the 2 1/2 days on the bus to mendoza we are finally surround by sun and heat.... a lot of heat...it s hot hot hot and hot again....and of course the bus had a breakdown...in the desert with n o shade...but that actually didnt matter...since our skin and hair was shiny as , sweat everywhere , bloated from delicious bus food....cookie for breakfast, cookie for lunch, cookie for dinner...and some unknown, unidentify meat covered with tons of bread crumbles ...yummmyyyy..mmmmhhhhhhh.....indulced in bus eating culture

but here we are...freshly showered...and sweaty again :)

neeeeaaarly back in the civilization and a tiny sneak on what we missed...but at least still cloudy...grummel grummel grummel

bye bye torres del paine
maybe see you again - hopefully with sun
the japanese garden without the torres....grummel grummel grunmmel grummel.....
:( :( :( :( :( behind that clouds there is the main attraction of the park..the reason why i (helli) wanted to come to patagonia and we walked all the way to get as near as possible and to get up at 4.30 to see the sunrise and then .....clouds and rain on the last day, no point of climbing up the 45 min steep walk to the viepoint....so maybe that s what it would have looked like... (maybe the monkey wouldn been thaaaaaat huge...but who knows :) at least he was with us)

still day 4....next stop the end of the valley....see the little hut at the base of the river in the distance....

nope helli there is no ending- not now- not soon - more than 4 hours still to go Day 4. 7hours in. soup break
done. exhausted. tired. but still heapz to hike for today
patagonia; endless nature
Up and down pan....ooOOOOooo. interesting
shoe operation round 2: the pain wouldnt go away so it was time get rid of half of the shoe....maaaaann - what a relief - helli should have listened to nick the day before - helli says: who is happy to cut of her shoe knowing she probably can not use it after
notice anything?.....nick has acquired a stick....hihi...sorry dork..day 4 will be hard and exhausting as....but we made it...yeah....we left at 9 am and arrived at 8 pm....yeeeaaahhhh...mostly uphill but we are awesome..haha
patagonia is just fuckin amazing...no words for what we have seen in the last weeks...and so thankful and happy that everything went well and safe. click.
home sweet home we called it....and that clumsy dork behind it destroyed it -of course- and who repaired it - of course...hehe....with needle and yarn...

weeeooooh

the view on top is just unbelievable...by the way..the 3 pans are a 360 degree view
are we getting a bit tired...huh huh huh....:) smileeeee (tim burton forest)

day 3: that view cost a lot of pain....ankle pain...helli shoes made this trip feel like hell...uphill i could take the pain, but downhill ...but there is no way than just walking clenching my fists and grinding my teeth. the plastic in my shoes and the upper part cut into my ankle...operation on the shoe was needed. but no further walking for today...that day was destroyed by the "sample - not for resale" shoe..huuuuhh, maybe there is a reason for this. still we had an awesome view of the torres around us and thats enough for one day :) so we drunk whiskey, played chess and ate all our chocolate.

we wondered how all these day trekkers and old ladies can walk the track without having there stuff with them...solution...horses....also if u wanna build a house or bring beer and cereals ....just take a horse...like the good old days
still day two but we are getting closer and closer and closer and the wind just doesnt wanna stop.....but we made it to the campo italiano, but no further.... DEAD thats the right word...just dead...no more walking for the rest of the day and give us foooood....
oooOOOOoooo....click
guys..remember this facial expression...it will change soon...promised.... hihi ( im ok im ok...)
panorama option whereever you look - kodak moments everywhere- man i am so lucky i bought two batteries for the camera...aaaaaaand click
helli says: that fuckin wind killed me on the second day and of coooouurrsssseeee the wind always blows into your face from ahead. no supporting wind - maybe wind from the side that makes you do funny jumps but nooo way there would be wind from behind...tzzeee tzzzzeee
still so far away...it s just the morning of day 2. The growing mountains kept us crawling closer, what we hopefully will get to see makes us put one foot after another against the wind...
awwwwesooooome...we created such delicious yummy 5 star gourmet meals whilst camping in torres del paine, in our little dear loved pot...and of course always cooked in the tent as we are sensible campers (it warms the tent up) ....ooooooooOOOOOoooo

torres del paine here we come. weeeeeeoooooooooooh (for those who don't know..weeeeooooh is the yeti / sasquatch mating call, be careful where you use it) (fot the german readers it isjust weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeooooh :)...we dont have yetis) ( not that you know of...they DO exist! Im pretty sure Anke's brother is a yeti, just shaven) (refering to the "gegen heimweih" calender :) )
and the landscape just woudn't change ...we walked and walked and still no sight of the end - physically easy, mentally frustrating become of the looooooong straight stretch. - The total separation from civilisation was beautiful. just you and your thoughts and the sound of wind whistling by. ( and the other fatty dork)
here weeeee go. lets roll ..against the wind..fuckin 5 hours of walking against the stormy patagonian wind (just like welly)
