Santiago

so. how s santiago¿

a ceiling you say, yes that´s right...a ceiling, many hours were spent gazing at this wunderbar ceiling, why you ask.... we spent most of the time in bed. the first day we were just toooooooo tired from the time switch so we were only brave enough for a walk.
and coming from both sides of the world means - having different sleeping patterns. so SOMEONE (aka nick the polar bear ) - made the whale (aka helli ) get up at 2am!!! on saturday to go out for a drink. or mayb two.. . or maybe 3. and maybe a beer before we left.
all that we recollect from this intoxicating night is helene´s last words "I go get some money" (as we didn´t actually have any money to pay the bar tender for getting us smashed) all Nick recalls is trying to write down his song request on a piece of paper for the DJ, which was also the bartender.

tick tock...

we look at the clock - 2:30 pm sunday. my heeeeaaad. myyyyyy belly. two winy dorks in santiago having the biggest hungover in a long time. and all we did was looking at the ceiling and from time to time, there were several attempts to get out of bed, only to crumble back into bed. finally we crawled out of bed with my hesitation at hmmmm 8pm, and slowly made our way to the supermercado.

Santiago...was dirty, loud, chubby women and hot men ( apparently??) ( not apparently.. i can tell.. they are!!!!! ) ( we want proof helli!! show the readers some pics or something) ( just look around- o no wait... we are in argentina) (hot women and chubby men) ( not true) (debatable) it´s a potato mashed city, there´s no consistency in architecture, no urban structure, poorly maintained infrastructure eg. footpaths, stormwater network, roads etc, what got me most though was the many many many stray dogs (pixar should totally make a movie!) public romance at every corner + quick naps where ever when ever...the dojo could be heard but not seen from our room...

i´m over the car alarms!!

soooo we decided to move on as we felt a tad smothered.
